The assessment and quality assurance qualifications are part of an integrated suite of training assessment and quality assurance (TAQA) qualifications for training, assessment and quality assurance practitioners. These qualifications are for people working in, or looking to enter roles in assessment and internal quality assurance.
The units and qualifications will provide people who carry out assessment in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for the role. They are available to anyone working in: accredited learning; non accredited learning (where people may assess performance but do not assess for a qualification); the NQF and the QCF.
Achievers will understand the principles of assessment and have the knowledge to develop and improve systems at their centre.
These practitioner qualifications are designed to support the assessment of all new QCF qualifications including:
- Functional Skills
- Technical certificates
This certificate covers three units with a total of 15 credit points:
- Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (three credits)
- Unit 2: Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (six credits)
- Unit 3: Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (six credits)
This certificate can be achieved by participating in our five day workshop and is assessed by professional discussion, workplace observation and a portfolio of work product evidence. Your two learners will be provided.
This qualification is for those who need to be qualified to use all the above listed assessment methods and gain the full assessing certificate.
