The City and Guilds (C&G) assessment and quality assurance qualifications are part of an integrated suite of training, assessment, and quality assurance (TAQA) qualifications for practitioners . These qualifications are for people working in, or looking to enter roles in assessment and internal quality assurance.
A knowledge-only award for those who are starting their journey as an internal quality assurance practitioners or for those who need to know about internal quality assurance but who are not carrying out quality assurance themselves. This might be people such as experienced assessors or centre managers, human resources (HR) or quality assurance personnel.
This certificate covers one unit with a total of six credit points:
- Unit 4: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
This award can be achieved by participating in our one day workshop and is internally assessed by professional discussion, workplace observation, knowledge and understanding, including holistic assessment, examination of work products, questions, witness testimony and recognition of prior learning.
One day attended workshop followed by guided learning hours and should be completed within six months (evidence/work portfolio)
This qualification will provide progression opportunities to other new qualifications such as:
- C&G Level Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (12 credits) – Unit 4 + Unit 5 (Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment)
- C&G Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (17 credits) – Unit 4 + Unit 5 + Unit 8 (Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility)
