Introduction to Budgeting

Overview

This courses is aimed at an individual who are budgeting for the first time or seeking a refresher, their meaning and uses and provides solid grounding of knowledge. On completion learners will understand budgeting statements, financial terms and concept and conventions.

  • Understand budgeted profit & loss accounts.
  • Balance sheets.
  • Cash flow statements.
  • Understanding the budgeting process operating budgets and master budgets.
  • Analyse and interpret statements to make right financial decisions for the future.

The course combines direct instruction, opportunities for discussion, sharing of practice, and practical team exercise to allow learners to work with others and embed their thinking. Learners leave with a course workbook containing the notes, templates and an outline of the tools they have used over the duration of the course, which they can reference and apply back in the workplace.
